Be My Valentine
Valentine's Day originated in early Christian times and was celebrated on, you guessed it, February 14th. This holiday was actually based on fabricated mythologies that centered around several St. Valentines. The day first became connected to romance during the Middle Ages, when flowers, candy and cards were presented to lovers as an expression of one's love. Nowadays we are more familiar with the red heart and winged cupid as symbols of the Day. Cupid with his arrow, pierces the heart which melts and then opens up to give and receive love. In the same way, Your Domina pierces your brain with Her voice and takes control of your mind and your heart.
It is one of my very favorite days because it demonstrates Women's superiority over men. Gifts are offered to Women, often out of love, but just as often out of appeasement for some past disappointment. The symbols of the day, the expectations, the gift giving, primarily center on the Woman, honoring Her, showing Her respect, seeking to please the Woman in a man's life.
